Grail 3-inch exhaust system suitable for BMW M3 G80 (S58) – Valve system

The MThe 3G80 deserves more than the OEM sound.

With the MBMW has 3 G80 M the new six-cylinder generation has been ushered in – the SThe 58-cylinder twin-turbo engine delivers 510 hp, revs high, and has endless acoustic potential. However, this is significantly restricted by the OPF (Otto Particulate Filter) and factory-installed muffler. The GRAIL valve-controlled exhaust system eliminates this. More voluminous M-Sound, aggressive six-cylinder character and the distinctive GRAIL delta between loud and quiet – fully present in Sport mode, subtle in Cruise mode.

Completely made of L304 stainless steel, handcrafted in Germany. ECE type approval – therefore registration-free in all EU vehicles with standard approval. Ready to drive immediately after installation.

Flap control – factory-installed

The MThe 3 G80 has its own exhaust flap control system as standard – the GRAIL takes over this completely. No additional control unit, no wiring, no remote control is necessary.

• In the M-Sport mode opens the flaps fully – full GRAIL sound
• In Comfort mode they remain closed – discreet and ECE-compliant

100 mm or 115 mm – which tailpipe diameter?

Both versions are technically identical in performance, but differ visually:

• 100 mm: Classic-M-typical, more subtle rear look – fits the clean OEM look of the M3 G80 Sedan
• 115 mm: Significantly more present, noticeably thicker in the diffuser – ideal for more aggressive setups with M Performance Carbon or CSL Aero

Tailpipe color

• Brushed stainless steel: Classic sporty design, high-quality look at the rear – the M-Standard choice
• Black: A subtle yet aggressive look – especially well-suited to a black package and dark rims.

Material & workmanship

LMade entirely of 304 stainless steel, with CNC-precision machined components. The silencers were specially designed in the GRAIL sound lab. S58-biturbo of the M3 G80 tuned. Flow-optimized pipe routing minimizes exhaust backpressure despite the integrated OPF. The solid stainless steel flaps switch precisely and are durable enough for everyday use.

Swiss suitability assessment

Upon request, you can receive a Swiss suitability assessment for the GRAIL system for an additional fee. If interested, simply contact support.

Information on admission

Registration-free thanks to ECE type approval – applies to all EU vehicles with standard registration. For imported vehicles with a different operating permit, please check registration requirements before ordering. The ECE type approval certificate should be kept in the glove compartment.
