MUST-HAVES
Exhaust system suitable for BMW M4 G82 / G83 - valved systems at FLOW DOWN®
Because of the particulate filter and standard silencers, the S58 biturbo in the BMW M4 sounds far more muted than the M character suggests. Here you will find sports exhausts suitable for the M4 coupé G82 and the M4 convertible G83 - above all the GRAIL valved system suitable for BMW M4 G82 / G83 with ECE type approval, plus a Milltek sports exhaust. Both body styles share the same mounting, and the Competition and M4 CSL G82 fit too.
Tailpipes, valve control and legality
With the GRAIL system you choose between 100 mm and 115 mm tailpipes in stainless steel or black. The valves run on BMW's factory control - the drive modes and the M1/M2 buttons, with no remote at all. Thanks to ECE type approval the system needs no registration entry under German law: fit it, drive off, done. The complete programme is in the GRAIL overview.
Fitting in Essen - customers travel from all over Germany
We fit your exhaust in our own workshop in Essen, usually the same day. Ordering with fitting means a 50% deposit, with the rest due only after installation. Customers come from the Ruhr area just as much as from Hamburg, Berlin or Munich.
Frequently asked questions about the exhaust on the BMW M4 G82
Does the GRAIL exhaust on the M4 G82 have to be entered in the registration papers?
No. The system has ECE type approval and therefore needs no entry in the EU - no inspection appointment, as long as the engine and exhaust of your M4 are otherwise standard.
Does the system fit the M4 convertible G83 and the M4 CSL?
Yes. The G82 Coupé, G83 Convertible, Competition and CSL all use the same exhaust mounting.
Does the M4 system also fit the M3 G80?
No. Despite the shared S58 the M3 has a different geometry - there are separate systems for it in the exhaust systems suitable for BMW M3 G80 collection.
How do I control the valves on the M4?
Through your M4's factory control - drive modes and the M1/M2 buttons. A remote is neither needed nor included.
100 mm or 115 mm tailpipes - which suits better?
Technically identical. 100 mm looks closer to standard, 115 mm gives the rear far more presence.
