The Ramair Proram intake kit is suitable for the Kia Ceed GT, ProCeed GT and XCeed with the 1.6 T-GDI engine (204 hp) of the CD series. It replaces the factory airbox with an open intake system consisting of complete piping, cone filter and heat shield – including all brackets and mounting parts for a clean installation in the factory location.

At its core is a dry Ramair Proram cone filter, which operates without oil and therefore does not contaminate the mass airflow sensor or downstream sensors. The heat shield isolates the filter from the hot engine compartment, resulting in lower intake temperatures. Overall, the kit increases airflow to the turbocharger by 30 to 40 percent and gives the 1.6 T-GDI engine a significantly more pronounced intake sound.

The kit can be installed as a standalone tuning option for the Kia Ceed GT and has also been tested in combination with the Milltek and Bastuck exhaust systems (ECE), the Wagner intercooler, and RaceChip tuning boxes. Other combinations must be discussed with an expert beforehand.

Material

Intake pipe and bracket made of dimensionally stable aluminum and steel sheet, black coated. Heat shield laser-cut and precision-folded. Filter element from Proram (Ramair's own brand) designed as a dry filter – without filter oil, therefore no oily residue on the mass airflow sensor. Hose connections made of silicone, secured with stainless steel hose clamps.

Complete system to replace the standard airbox in the Kia 1.6 T-GDI GT. Installation uses the factory mounting points and rubber bushings and can be done yourself with common tools. Illustrated step-by-step instructions are included with the kit.

Important: The type approval for the component applies exclusively to vehicles with automatic transmission (DCT). Vehicles with manual transmissions are not currently covered by the report – a follow-up review is not currently planned.

Information on admission

The kit is supplied with a parts type approval (TTG) – the successor to the ABE (General Operating Permit). A modification inspection according to the German Road Traffic Act (StVZO) is not required; the supplied documents simply need to be carried in the vehicle. The approval applies exclusively to vehicles with automatic transmissions.

The combination with the Milltek and Bastuck exhaust systems (ECE), the Wagner intercooler, and RaceChip has been tested and can be installed optionally. If additional components not listed here are combined, prior approval from an expert is required.

The right one TÜV combined report for Kia Ceed / ProCeed / XCeed GT (CD) is available as an option for €149. Customers who purchase additional tested components such as an exhaust system or intercooler from FLOW DOWN® along with the intake system will receive the combined certification free of charge.
