The FLOW DOWN® magnetic license plate holder is suitable for the Audi SThe RS3 3 and RS3 8V replace the original screw-on license plate holder with a clean magnetic system. The striking 8V front end with its large air intakes and single-frame grille is showcased much better without the bulky holder – the license plate can be removed in seconds for photoshoots, track days, or car meets.

High-performance neodymium magnets, tested up to 300 km/h and subjected to practical testing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with racing driver Loris Scheider. Magnets and manufacturing made in Germany.

The magnetic license plate holder does not require registration. Material and practical tests are documented, and compliance with §12 FZV (German Vehicle Registration Ordinance) when used properly is recorded in the enclosed technical product data sheet.

Does the holder fit both the 8V pre-facelift and the facelift models?

Yes. The holder fits the Audi S3 and RS3 8V in both versions – pre-facelift (model years 2013–2017) and facelift (model years 2016–2020). The mounting for the license plate holder remained identical in both model generations.

Does the holder work for both the sedan and the Sportback?

Yes. Audi uses the same mounting on the front bumper for both the sedan and the Sportback in the 8V series – the holder fits regardless of the body style.

Does the holder affect the Audi Pre Sense or ACC sensors?

No. The holder is positioned at the factory location of the original license plate holder, outside the detection range of the Audi Pre Sense and ACC sensors. All assistance systems continue to operate unchanged.

Does the holder hold up during the RS3's top speed run?

Yes. The holder has been tested up to 300 km/h. Even with the RS3 8V speed limiter removed (up to 280 km/h), the license plate remains securely in place.

Are additional holes needed in the bumper?

The magnets are usually screwed onto the factory-installed mounts. Where no pre-drilled hole exists, the screw is directly screwed into the bumper – creating a small screw mount.

What should I consider when washing the car?

In a traditional cloth car wash, it is recommended to briefly remove the license plate. At a self-service wash station with a high-pressure cleaner, the license plate can remain mounted.
