Do I definitely need a rear add-on with it?

No, the flap can be fitted on its own. But the shape is drawn for the combination - only with the add-on do the lower edges sit at the same height and form a continuous line.

How does this version differ from the flat one?

In volume. This one wraps around the bumper corner and extends much further down; the flat one stays close to the bumper. Both fit the same bumper - it is a style decision.

Can I fit the flap myself?

Possible yes, but the bend around the corner is the crux. Fitted cold, the part sits under tension there and works loose over time. That is why we warm the bumper beforehand.

Does the fitting have to be entered in the papers?

No. A parts type approval is in place, so fitting needs no registration entry. You only need to carry the papers.
