The BMW M2 G87 is the uncompromising new generation of the cultM2 – with the S58-biturbo from the M3 / MThe G80/G82 is wider, more angular, and has significantly more power than its predecessor, the F87. However, BMW's use of the OPF (Otto Particulate Filter) and factory sound dampening to acoustically restrict the engine is immense. The GRAIL flap exhaust system eliminates this: full of S58-character, forceful and aggressive in MSport mode, subtle in cruise mode. The distinctive GRAIL delta between loud and quiet.

Completely made of L304 stainless steel, handcrafted in Germany. ECE type approval – therefore registration-free in all EU vehicles with standard approval. Ready to drive immediately after installation.

Flap control – factory-installed

The MThe G87 has its own exhaust valve control system as standard – the GRAIL takes over this completely. This means: no additional valve control is necessary, no wiring, no remote control. The valves are controlled via the factory-set driving modes of the G87. M2 addressed, just like BMW M it was designed as standard from the factory.

• In the M-Sport mode opens the flaps fully – full GRAIL sound
• In Comfort mode they remain closed – discreet and ECE-compliant

100 mm or 115 mm – which tailpipe diameter?

Both versions are technically identical in performance, but differ visually:

• 100 mm: Classic-M-typical, more subtle rear look – particularly suitable for the clean OEM appearance
• 115 mm: Significantly more present, noticeably thicker in the diffuser – ideal for anyone who wants a striking, aggressive appearance, especially in combination with the CS diffuser or M Performance Carbon

Tailpipe color

• Brushed stainless steel: Classic sporty, high-quality look at the rear
• Black: A subtle yet aggressive look – especially well-suited to a black package and dark rims.

Material & workmanship

LMade entirely of 304 stainless steel, with CNC-precision machined components. The silencers were specially designed in the GRAIL sound lab. S58-biturbo of the M2 G87 tuned. Flow-optimized pipe routing minimizes exhaust backpressure despite the integrated OPF. The solid stainless steel flaps switch precisely and are durable enough for everyday use.

• 50% deposit upon order placement – we will then order the system from GRAIL

Swiss suitability assessment

Upon request, you can receive a Swiss suitability assessment for the GRAIL system for an additional fee. If interested, simply contact support.

Not suitable for: BMW M2 F87 (N55 engine, separate system), M2 Competition F87 (S55, own facility), M2 CS F87C (S55, own system). Separate GRAIL systems are available in the shop for each of these models.

Registration-free thanks to ECE type approval – applies to all EU vehicles with standard registration. For imported vehicles with a different operating permit, please check registration requirements before ordering. The ECE type approval certificate should be kept in the glove compartment.
