Does the lip fit my M2 Competition too?

No. With the Competition in 2018 BMW also changed the front apron - different air intakes, a different edge line. There is a separate front add-on for the newer version. Check the model year or send us a photo of the front and we will clarify in five minutes.

How do I tell which version my BMW M2 F87 is?

Easiest by the model year: up to mid-2018 the N55, after that the Competition with the S55 and the changed front. If in doubt, look at the lower air intakes - on the Competition they are larger and divided differently.

Do bumper clips break during fitting?

It can happen. The bumpers of these model years are more brittle at the edges than on a new car and retaining clips often break during removal. We keep the common clips for the 2 Series in stock so the car does not have to wait.
