The carbon fiber mirror triangle cover, designed for the Hyundai Kona N, is glued over the inner mirror triangle cover – the plastic trim piece on the inside of the door that conceals the mounting points for the side mirror. When the door is closed, this creates a clean carbon fiber triangle at the transition between the door and the A-pillar.

The cover is made from genuine dry carbon using a pre-preg process and cured in an autoclave. Precise 3D scans of the original bezel ensure a 100% perfect fit and a clean, flush finish. The cover is also available in forged carbon upon request – simply contact support.

Material

Genuine dry carbon, manufactured using the pre-preg process and cured in an autoclave. Clear, glossy lacquer finish, dimensionally stable and resistant to UV radiation and temperature fluctuations.

The cover is glued directly over the original mirror triangle trim on the inside of the door. The adhesive is applied using the pre-mounted 3M-Adhesive tape – the original trim panel does not need to be removed. Thoroughly clean and degrease the adhesive surface before installation.

Optionally, installation is also possible at FLOW DOWN® in Essen.

What exactly does the carbon mirror triangle cover go over?

The cover is bonded over the inner mirror triangle panel on the door side - the black plastic cover that normally hides the mirror's mounting points. With the door closed this creates a clean carbon triangle at the transition between door and A-pillar.

What does dry carbon mean and how does it differ from wet carbon?

Dry carbon is made using the pre-preg process and cured in the autoclave under pressure and heat. The result is lighter, stronger and visually flawless compared with wet carbon, which is hand-laminated with resin - factory and motorsport standard.

Does the carbon cover hold permanently, in the car wash and rain too?

Yes. The pre-preg carbon, the clear coat and the 3M industrial tape are all designed for permanent use in the door area. Car wash, pressure washing and weather are no problem.

Are both sides included?

Yes. The set contains two covers for the left and right mirror triangle trim. Both covers come with 3M tape pre-fitted.

How close does the carbon look to the factory N Performance carbon parts?

Visually very close. As FLOW DOWN® works with real dry carbon in the autoclave, the fibre structure and depth of gloss match what Hyundai uses on N Performance carbon parts - the covers sit coherently alongside existing original carbon.

Can the covers be removed again without residue if needed?

Yes. With a little heat from a hairdryer the 3M tape can be warmed evenly and the cover removed gently. Any adhesive residue on the original panel can be removed with a standard adhesive remover.
